MARICOPA CO., AZ – A motorcyclist died Friday afternoon in a crash involving an 18-wheeler along a state highway just west of Buckeye, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.
The incident happened sometime before 4:08 p.m. on the northbound side of State Route 85 at Southern Avenue.
Police have not yet shared how the crash happened or whether the truck driver sustained injuries.
Officials closed State Route 85 in both directions near the crash while crews worked to clear the scene.
