News: Man arrested for DUI after injury multi-car crash in Phoenix  

PHOENIX, AZ – A 26-year-old man was arrested for driving under the influence in connection with an injury multi-car crash in the Siesta Village on Monday.

Police told Arizona Family that four cars crashed before 9 p.m. in the area of 47th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Following the collision, police arrested 26-year-old Joey Lopez, whom they suspected of being impaired, and EMS crews rushed a woman to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Out of four of the vehicles, three of them suffered significant damage. One red vehicle was left without a windshield and had heavy damage to its driver’s side.

Authorities shut down the area for several hours, and by 8 a.m., closures were still in effect.

A full investigation is underway.
