NEAR CHANDLER, AZ – The Gila River Police Department closed Gilbert Road for a few hours on Friday due to a head-on collision.
Police told AZFamily they closed Gilbert Road in both directions from Hunt Highway to State Route 87 for cleanup and the overall investigation.
The two sedans suffered significant front-end damage, although it’s not immediately clear whether anyone was injured or how many people were involved.
