News: Police investigate deadly auto vs. pedestrian crash near Citrus Hills

PHOENIX, AZ – According to CBS 5, the Phoenix Police Department is investigating a deadly auto vs. pedestrian collision that happened on S 16th St near E Southern Ave on Wednesday.

A female driver hit Francisco Gonzales, 70, as Gonzales was trying to run across 16th St around 8 p.m.

Rescue crews transported Gonzales to an area hospital, where he died.

The driver stayed at the scene following the collision. They were not impaired.
