TEMPE, AZ – The Tempe Police Department is investigating an auto vs. pedestrian collision that occurred near W Baseline Rd and S Priest Dr on Friday, according to AZFamily.
The driver hit the victim, an unidentified man, as he was crossing the road.
Rescue crews transported the pedestrian to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Following the collision, the driver stayed at the scene.
Authorities believe impairment may be a factor in the wreck.
Officials closed W Baseline Rd in both directions to investigate the incident.
