News: Red light runner causes injury crash involving Maricopa Co. transport vehicle 

PHOENIX, AZ – A red light runner was to blame for an injury crash involving a Maricopa County transport vehicle that happened last Friday, July 25.

The collision took place around 10 p.m. in the area of 19th Avenue and Interstate 17, Arizona’s Family said. Officials said a driver of an unspecified vehicle ran a red light and collided with the county transport van, occupied by the deputy and three inmates.

A short time later, the deputy and three inmates were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

MSCO did not report any injuries for the red light runner or confirm whether they would face charges for their involvement in the crash.
