News: Man killed in E Phoenix vehicle vs. pedestrian crash

PHOENIX, AZ – A 52-year-old pedestrian died Friday night after a vehicle struck him at a busy intersection in east Phoenix before fleeing the scene, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

Police say the incident happened around 11:40 p.m. near the intersection of East McDowell Road and North 41st Street, which is just north of Loop 202.

Authorities identified the victim as Edward Garza of Phoenix. He died at the scene of the accident.

Officials have not yet released any details regarding a suspected driver or vehicle. Anyone with information to share can contact the Phoenix Police Department.
