News: Crash on I-10 in Tonopah closes WB lanes

TONOPAH, AZ – Officials closed the westbound lanes of the interstate in Tonopah on Tuesday afternoon after a collision near milepost 109, reports KTAR News.

Police say the incident happened around 1:20 p.m. on I-10 westbound near Hassayampa Road, just north of the Gila River.

It’s unclear at this time how many vehicles were involved and if anyone was hurt.

The road closure created substantial delays for drivers heading west out of Phoenix. Crews cleared the scene and re-opened all lanes of the interstate right around 2:40 p.m.

A full investigation of the crash is underway.
