News: Coconino Co. UTV crash kills child, injures 3 others

FOREST LAKES, AZ – An accident involving a utility terrain vehicle resulted in the death of an 8-year-old girl in the Forest Lakes area late Sunday morning, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

Police say the incident happened just after 11 a.m. near the intersection of Forest Service Road 99 and Wildcat Road.

Response crews performed CPR on the 8-year-old victim, but she died at the scene of the accident.

Three other juveniles were airlifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. These include two 14-year-old girls and one other 8-year-old girl. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
