BLACK CANYON CITY, AZ – Officials have provided additional information on a fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 17 near mile marker 237.5 Sunday afternoon, according to AZFamily.
A 49-year-old man was driving a station wagon when he drove off the side of the road, went up the median hillside, and rolled down onto the southbound lanes. The driver was thrown from the vehicle during the crash.
An adult female passenger and a 17-year-old girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A 4-year-old male passenger was not hurt in the collision.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident.
