News: Allegedly impaired semi-truck driver fatally crashes into multiple vehicles in Parker

PARKER, AZ – A woman is dead following a multi-vehicle crash involving an allegedly impaired semi-truck driver near S California Ave and W Riverside Dr on Sunday, according to AZ Family.

Karan Singh was driving a semi-truck north on California Ave when he collided with three cars stopped for a red light at Riverside Dr. The collision propelled cars into a nearby parking lot and sent one vehicle crashing into a boulder. The semi-truck and one of the vehicles it hit then caught on fire.

Rescue crews pronounced one person, an unidentified woman, dead at the scene. Several others were injured.

Following the collision, Singh fled the area on foot. Authorities located and transported him to an area hospital before charging him with second-degree murder and eight counts of aggravated assault.
