News: DPS arrests man after pursuit-turned-crash in Maricopa Co. 

MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ – The Arizona Department of Public Safety arrested a 54-year-old man after a pursuit-turned-crash on Monday.

DPS told Fox10Phoenix that the incident began on U.S. 60 in Tempe. DPS saw that the 54-year-old man, later identified as Edward Zamora, was traveling at a rate of 110mph.

A trooper tried to pull over Zamora, who refused, which led to a pursuit.

The chase ended in Mesa when Zamora crashed into multiple vehicles.

DPS confirmed Zamora had an open container of alcohol in his car.

DPS arrested Zamora on suspicion of reckless driving and criminal speeding, endangerment, driving under the influence, and unlawful flight from a law enforcement vehicle.

Zamora is being held on a $10,000 bond.
