PHOENIX, AZ – A semi-truck driver struck and killed a woman near S 63rd Ave and W Buckeye Rd on Wednesday, according to AZFamily.
The driver hit Biyan Wu, 71, as Wu pushed a shopping cart on W Buckeye Rd outside a marked crosswalk around 2 a.m.
Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on Wu before pronouncing her dead at the scene.
Following the collision, the semi-truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Authorities do not believe speed or impairment played a role in the incident.
