News: Scottsdale senior crashes into traffic pole, dies

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – An elderly man died Friday morning when his car collided with a traffic signal pole in Scottsdale, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

Police say the incident happened around 5:30 a.m. at the intersection of North 68th Street and East Indian School Road, which is just south of Lafayette Park.

The cause of the incident is unclear. Medics transported the driver to the hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the collision.

Police do not suspect impairment, but a full investigation of the crash is underway.
