PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix police cited a driver in connection with their role in a pedestrian crash that critically injured a teenage boy on Saturday.
The incident occurred when the 14-year-old boy, using a crosswalk, was struck by a southbound vehicle on 35th Avenue, near Dunlap Avenue, Fox10Phoenix said.
Police and EMS responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m. Ambulance crews immediately rushed the teenage boy to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. Police said the motorist showed no signs of impairment, but cited them for numerous traffic violations and then released them.
