GLENDALE, AZ – According to AZFamily, the Glendale Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle collision that happened at 51st Ave and W Northern Ave on Sunday.
A driver was heading south on 51st Ave when they strayed into oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound vehicle around 10 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the driver of the northbound vehicle to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Another passenger from that car was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The third occupant of that vehicle was hurt but not taken to the hospital.
Crews also transported the driver of the first vehicle to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe impairment may have been a factor in the collision.
