PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix police are investigating the details behind a fatal crash involving a semi-truck that happened before 3 a.m. on Monday.
According to Fox10Phoenix, the crash occurred at the intersection of 51st Avenue and Van Buren Street. The events leading up to the crash are unclear. Although video footage suggests a white sedan crashed into a white semi-truck.
The impact significantly damaged the car, and it appeared to have been pinned underneath the truck.
Officials closed the intersection for several hours to accommodate the on-scene clean-up process and overall investigation.
Authorities confirmed a fatality, but have not released the victim’s name.
