NORTH PHOENIX, AZ – A person was hospitalized after an auto-bicycle collision in North Phoenix on Wednesday night, AzFamily reports.
The incident unfolded after 10 p.m. at the intersection of I-17 Black Canyon Highway Access Road and Windrose Drive, where the cyclist was struck by a vehicle.
EMS crews rushed to the scene and transported the cyclist to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Phoenix police said the driver stayed at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
A full investigation is underway.
