News: Pedestrian injured in hit-and-run crash near Encanto Park 

PHOENIX, AZ – A pedestrian was hospitalized after getting struck by a hit-and-run driver west of Encanto Park Friday, 12News reports.

The driver struck the pedestrian, an unidentified man, around 1 a.m. near the intersection of North 24th Avenue and Grand Avenue. EMS crews rushed to the scene and transported the male pedestrian to a hospital, where he is recovering from critical, life-threatening injuries.

Phoenix police said the hit-and-run suspect was said to have lost control of their vehicle while driving on Grand Avenue North, which caused them to drift out of their lane and ultimately crash into the pedestrian on the nearby sidewalk.
