PHOENIX, AZ – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking in south Phoenix early this morning.
According to a report by CBS 5, officers responded to he scene at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Broadway Road at about 5 a.m.
Investigators say the unidentified man was hit by an eastbound vehicle as he attempted to cross Broadway Rd. He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
Broadway Rd. was closed for several hours while investigators worked the scene. All lanes were reopened by 10 a.m.
