SOUTH TEMPE, AZ – One person was killed in a four-vehicle collision that occurred east of the Ken McDonald Golf Course on Sunday.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Guadalupe Road and Rural Road and left one person in critical condition, according to KTAR. EMS crews transported the individual to a hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
Tempe police stayed behind and shut down the area starting at westbound Guadalupe Road and ending at Terrace Road.
Officers also diverted traffic from northbound Rural Road to westbound Guadalupe Road.
At the time of the reporting, authorities were said to have shut down the area for several hours.
