News: One life claimed in van, semi-truck crash in West Phoenix

WEST PHOENIX, AZ – One person’s life was claimed following a crash between a van and a semi-truck on Monday.

The collision took place around 6 a.m. in the area of 25th Avenue and Buckeye Road, according to Arizona Family. Preliminary details suggest that a driver of a white van made an improper turn, which caused him to collide with a semi-truck.

EMS crews transported the van driver and semi-truck drivers to a hospital. There, the van driver died.

Officials said the truck driver was taken to the emergency room as a precaution, but did not confirm the extent of their injuries.

Both vehicles were significantly damaged.

A full investigation is underway.
