News: Woman, 27, booked following fatal pedestrian crash in Maryvale 

PHOENIX, AZ – A 27-year-old woman was booked on one count of aggravated DUI following a fatal pedestrian crash in Maryvale on Tuesday.

The woman, identified as Camry Bridges, was driving a silver Toyota Camry when she struck a male pedestrian crossing 57th Avenue and McDowell Road, Arizona Family said.

The pedestrian was initially left in serious condition, but succumbed to his injuries a short time later, Phoenix fire crews confirmed. He has since been identified as 36-year-old Jose Reinaldo Cabrera.

Police said Bridges showed signs of impairment and also had her 7-month-old child in the car with her at the time of the crash.

Bridges’ child was not injured and released into the care of other family members.

Officials shut down 55th to 57th Drives for the on-scene clean-up process and overall investigation.
