News: Motorcyclist killed in collision at Phoenix intersection

PHOENIX, AZ – A motorcyclist was killed in a Campbell Avenue collision on Wednesday evening, KTAR News reports.

The Phoenix Police Department says the accident occurred near 22nd Street around 5:20 pm. The motorcyclist was reportedly riding in the bicycle lane when they made what police called “an unsafe pass” and collided with a car as the driver attempted to turn onto 22nd Street.

The motorcyclist was critically injured when they were transported to an area hospital where they later died.

The driver of the car remained on the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to police.
