News: Man, 36, loses life after crash near ACCLAIM Academy in Phoenix 

PHOENIX, AZ – A 36–36-year-old man who was hospitalized for critical injuries after a Friday night crash along ACCLAIM Academy has since died.

Phoenix police told AZFamily the collision happened after another driver, coming from a business parking lot, tried to turn and struck the second vehicle driven by the 36-year-old man, who did not wear a seatbelt. Police and first responders arrived at the scene, at the intersection of North 78th Avenue & West Indian School Road, after 6:40 p.m.

EMS crews rushed the 36-year-old man and two others to a hospital. There, the 36-year-old man succumbed to his injuries. He has since been identified as John Fisher.

The surviving occupants are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The involved vehicles were a black SUV and a white sedan. The SUV sustained moderate damage, while the white car was significantly damaged. Officials did not specify what kind of vehicle Fisher drove.

Police have not confirmed if criminal charges were filed against the driver who tried to make a turn.
