News: Hit-and-run at Bell and 23rd kills 1 in N Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Two vehicles struck and killed a female pedestrian at a busy intersection in north Phoenix on Monday night, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

Police say the incident happened just after 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of North 23rd Street and Bell Road, which is just west of Cave Creek Road.

The investigation indicates that a westbound driver first struck the woman as she walked south across Bell Road. A second westbound driver then ran over the woman in the roadway before fleeing the scene.

The driver of the first vehicle stopped at a nearby gas station and spoke with police.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim. They ask that anyone with information about the incident contact the Phoenix Police.
