GILA CO., AZ – Authorities closed the eastbound side of US-60 Monday evening after a serious crash east of Globe in Gila County, reports Arizona DOT.

The incident happened around 6:47 p.m., at which point police began to alternate traffic along the westbound side of the highway.
Crews worked to clear the scene and re-open the eastbound lanes around 10:29 p.m.
Police say the crash was serious but have not yet commented on injuries or the number of vehicles involved. We will circle back with updates if we learn more about the circumstances of the accident.
