PEORIA, AZ – According to AZ Family, a driver collided with a police officer’s patrol car near Grand Ave and 71st Ave on August 11.
The officer who was hit was working the scene of a crash when the driver hit the officer’s vehicle around 10 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the officer to an area hospital with minor injuries.
Following the collision, the driver who struck the officer’s car remained at the scene.
Authorities have not ruled out speed or impairment as playing a role in the incident.
