PHOENIX, AZ – A driver struck and injured a female bicyclist near 51st Ave and Indian School Rd on Friday, according to CBS 5.
A truck driver hit the woman as they were attempting to turn left onto Indian School Rd around 9 p.m.
Rescue crews transported the bicyclist to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Following the collision, the truck driver remained at the scene. Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the collision.
The Phoenix Police Department is investigating the incident.
