News: Child in serious condition due to crash near Papago Golf Club 

PHOENIX, AZ – A child was hospitalized for serious injuries as a result of a crash that happened west of Papago Golf Club on Tuesday. 

According to KTAR News, a child and a woman were struck by a vehicle in the area of  48th Street and McDowell Road. Phoenix police and ambulance personnel responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m. 

The woman received medical attention at the scene and did not need to go to the hospital. EMS crews transported the child to a hospital for treatment. 

Authorities issued a several-hour-long shutdown and still had the area closed by 5:30 p.m. for the standard scene clearance and investigation. 

No other details are available.
