News: Car strikes, kills pedestrian at Bell Rd and N 11th

PHOENIX, AZ – A 44-year-old man died Tuesday night after a vehicle struck him near a busy intersection in north Phoenix, reports 12News.

Police say the incident occurred around 6 p.m. near the intersection of West Bell Road and North 11th Avenue, which is northwest of Moon Valley Park.

The investigation indicates that a man attempted to cross Bell Road when a car struck him.

Medics transported the victim, identified as Henry Eugene Johnson, to the hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
