News: Alleged impaired driver crashes head-on into police vehicle near Sands East Townhomes

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – A suspected drunk driver collided with a police vehicle on Indian School Rd near AZ 101 Lp on Dec 9, according to AZ Family.

Cole Thomas Parker was heading east in the westbound lanes of Indian School Rd when he plowed head-on into a Salt River Police Department pickup truck around 3 a.m.

Rescue crews extricated Parker from his vehicle and transported him to an area hospital. A toxicology report showed Parker’s BAC was .292.

Authorities arrested Parker once he was released from the parker and charged him with aggravated assault and DUI.

The police officer broke his ankle in the collision.
