News: Fatal semi-truck crash causes hazmat spill on I-10 near Tucson

TUCSON, AZ – According to AZ Family, a semi-truck driver died when his vehicle rolled over on I-10 near Tucson Tuesday afternoon.

The wreck caused the trailer’s shell to rupture and spilled nitric acid onto the interstate.

Officials issued a shelter-in-place order following the crash and closed down a section of I-10. The order was lifted around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Authorities have not released the driver’s name who died in the incident.
