APACHE JUNCTION, AZ – According to 12 News, 30 people were hurt when a suspected impaired driver plowed through the Elks Lodge, located at 2455 N Apache Trail, on Saturday.
Thomas Edward Kain, 73, was leaving the Elks Lodge when he accidentally drove into it at 8:27 p.m.
Rescue crews transported ten people to area hospitals and treated 15 others for minor injuries. Five people drove themselves to local hospitals. One of the people hurt is in critical but stable condition.
Authorities arrested Kain. They believe alcohol was a factor in the collision.
