Phoenix Police said the crash unfolded after 12 p.m. at the intersection of Happy Valley Road and Lake Pleasant Parkway. It was there that a driver of a Nissan made a left turn and collided with a southbound Honda Civic traveling on Lake Pleasant.
EMS crews rushed the Nissan driver and five Honda Civic occupants — all teenagers — to a hospital. There, one of the teenagers succumbed to their injuries.
