News: Woman dies in Phoenix vehicle vs. pedestrian crash

PHOENIX, AZ – A female pedestrian died after a vehicle struck her as she attempted to cross a busy street in central Phoenix Sunday night, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

Police say the incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of North 7th Avenue and West Camelback Road, which is just west of Uptown.

The investigation indicates that a teen driver hit the pedestrian in the intersection.

The woman died from her injuries after transport to a local hospital.

Authorities do not suspect impairment on the part of the driver. A full investigation is underway.
