News: Two kids seriously hurt in Phoenix single-car crash

PHOENIX, AZ – All five members of a family were hospitalized after their car crashed along a highway in north Phoenix early Saturday morning, reports Arizona abc15.

Police say the incident happened just after 3 a.m. on West Carefree Highway near North 23rd Lane, which is in the Amber Hills area of Phoenix.

The preliminary investigation suggests that, for unknown reasons, the driver of the family’s westbound vehicle lost control, veered over the median and eastbound lanes, and wrecked along the roadway.

Medics transported two young children to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The driver, his wife, and an infant passenger were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Authorities have not yet commented on the cause of the crash. A full investigation is underway.
