News: T-bone crash in East Gilbert kills man, infant

GILBERT, AZ – A crash involving two vehicles killed a man and his baby Friday evening at a busy intersection in east Gilbert, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV. 

The incident happened just after 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Elliot Road and Cole Drive, which is just north of Amber Park.

The investigation thus far indicates that a female driver in a Toyota Corolla entered the path of a pickup truck when she turned left from East Elliot Road onto Cole Drive.

Two occupants from the Corolla, a 22-year old and an infant, died at the scene of the collision. The driver of the Corolla went to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries in the crash. Police arrested him on suspicion of impairment.

A full investigation is underway.
