News: 5 hospitalized in 2-car crash in South Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – Four adults and one teen sustained serious injuries when two vehicles collided at a busy intersection in southern Phoenix Saturday morning, reports Arizona’s Family 3TV.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. near the intersection of South 7th Street and East Dobbins Road, which is just north of South Mountain Park and Preserve.

Police have not commented on the circumstances of the collision except to say that crews had to extricate two adults from their vehicles when they became entrapped from the crash. Those two adults face critical injuries.

All five of the involved occupants are expected to recover from the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
