News: Second pedestrian hit by car in Paradise Valley dies

PARADISE VALLEY, AZ – The second person who was struck by a car while helping an injured dog get off the roadway near N 46th St and E Lincoln Dr on Sunday has died from their injuries, according to 12 News.

Nooraly Lalji, 47, hit the dog with his vehicle. He got out of his car to help the wounded dog. John Wintersteen, 78, left his home to help Lalji with the animal.

The driver of a Lexus RX hit the two pedestrians as they were helping the dog. Another driver then ran over one of the men.

Rescue crews transported both men to an area hospital, where they died. The dog also died.
