PHOENIX, AZ – The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a fatal three-vehicle collision that occurred at W Indian School Rd EB and I-17 SB on Friday, according to AZFamily.
Daniel Jacobs, 30, was driving an Infiniti sedan east on W Indian School Rd around 10:30 p.m. when he ran a red light and slammed into a southbound Toyota Tacoma operated by a 29-year-old man. The collision caused the Tacoma to roll multiple times.
The Infiniti crashed through a chain-link fence and fell 30 feet. A 39-year-old driving a GMC Sierra then collided with Jacobs’ car.
Emergency crews extricated Jacobs’ and the Tacoma driver and transported them to an area hospital, where Jacobs died the next day. The Tacoma driver was in critical condition.
