PHOENIX, AZ – Phoenix Police are currently on the hunt for a suspect in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed a 79-year-old woman last month.
Police told Fox10Phoenix the collision happened before 10:30 p.m. on April 21, in the area of North 20th Avenue and West Indian School Road, which is in Enchanto Village. Police said the suspect, whom they believed drove a vehicle similar to a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, struck the 79-year-old woman while she was crossing the intersection.
The female pedestrian, identified as Vivian Hunter, died from her injuries at the scene.
Police are working to determine what the suspect looked like and what kind of vehicle they drove.
