News: 6 sent to hospital after wrong-way collision in Scottsdale 

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Six people had to go to the hospital as a result of a wrong-way collision that happened on Loop 101 in Scottsdale on Saturday. 

Arizona Department of Public Safety told AZFamily that the collision happened near Chaparral Road and said they responded to the scene after 11 p.m. DPS determined that the driver of a black Audi sedan was going south on northbound Loop 101 and crashed into two other vehicles. 

One person was critically injured, and five others were left with unspecified injuries and sent to the hospital for treatment. 

Officials shut down Loop 101 for several hours before reopening all lanes.
