PHOENIX, AZ – A Phoenix Police officer and another driver were taken to a nearby hospital after a crash in Montezuma Heights on Thursday, June 19.
Fox10Phoenix said the collision, reported sometime in the evening, occurred after a civilian driver had struck a Phoenix police cruiser at the intersection of North 20th Street and East Van Buren Street. The officer had a K-9 with him at the time of the crash.
The K-9 was uninjured. While the officer and other driver did not sustain serious injuries, they were still taken to the hospital for precautionary measures.
The exact cause of the crash is under investigation. Updates will be added after our team learns more.
