PHOENIX, AZ – One person lost their life after they were struck by several vehicles on Interstate 10 East on Wednesday, 12News reports.
The collision occurred on the ramp connecting to Interstate 17, and closures were initiated for lanes located at mile marker 143. By 5:30 a.m., officials reopened the eastbound lanes.
Police said the person who was struck by the vehicles succumbed to their injuries at the scene. As of this writing, they have not publicly identified them.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
