News: Man, 36, killed in hit-and-run crash near Sky Harbor Int. Airport 

PHOENIX, AZ – A 36-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened southwest of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Thursday, Arizona Family said.

The collision happened around 10 p.m. in the area of East Elwood Street and South 7th Street. Phoenix Police determined that the 36-year-old man was trying to cross 7th Street when he was hit by the northbound vehicle.

The driver fled the scene prior to the police’s arrival.

Police declared the 36-year-old man dead at the scene, and have identified him as Valyn Benally.

Police are working to determine what the suspect and their vehicle looked like.
