News: Officials ID one victim of fatal auto vs. bicycle crash on S Cotton Ln

GOODYEAR, AZ – According to 12 News, officials had released the name of one of two people who died when a driver crashed into a group of bicyclists at S Cotton Lane and W MC 85 Saturday.

Pedro Quintana-Lujan, 26, was driving a pickup truck when he collided with over a dozen cyclists.

Rescue crews pronounced one of the cyclists, Karen Malisa, dead at the scene of the accident. They also transported 12 people to an area hospital. One of the 12 people, an unidentified man, died at the hospital.

Following the collision, authorities arrested Pedro Quintana-Lujan and charged him with 25 charges, including endangerment, aggravated assault, and manslaughter.
