Driver fatally collides with bicyclists on Cotton Ln in Goodyear

GOODYEAR, AZ – According to 12 News, two people died and 11 were injured when a driver plowed through a group of bicyclists near Cotton Lane and MC85 Saturday.

Pedro Quintana-Lujan, 26, was driving a pickup truck when he crashed into the cyclists.

Following the collision, rescue crews pronounced an adult female cyclist dead at the scene of the accident. The crews also transported 12 people to area hospitals. One of the 12 people, an adult male, died at the hospital.

Authorities arrested Quintana-Lujan on 18 counts of endangerment, two counts of causing serious injury or death by a moving violation, two counts of manslaughter, and three counts of aggravated assault.
