News: Hit-and-run kills woman in wheelchair on 63rd and Palm

PHOENIX, AZ – A woman in a wheelchair died Saturday evening after a hit-and-run driver struck her at a busy intersection in west Phoenix, reports Fox 10 Phoenix.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 63rd Avenue and Palm Lane, which is just south of Desert West Lake.

Police say the woman died after the driver fled the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
