News: Fatal motorcycle crash reported near Alta Vista

PHOENIX, AZ – According to AZ Family, a motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle collision near N 28th Ave and W Northern Ave Friday.

Charles Hansen, 38, was riding a motorcycle east on W Northern Ave at a high rate of speed when he collided with a woman driving an SUV who turned in front of him around 1:30 a.m.

The collision caused the SUV to roll over onto its side. Hansen became trapped underneath the SUV.

Rescue crews pronounced Hansen dead at the scene and transported the woman to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities do not believe impairment was a factor in the incident.
